Weirdo

Weirdo is a story about a young boy who is a new immigrant to Canada. On first day of school he meets his teacher and class. Everyone is very kind and helpful but there is one bully who starts picking on him.

Omar doesn’t know English. He doesn’t know what to say. Things keep getting worse day by day and no one knows about it until one day, when Omar is in a big trouble.

That is the day he finds that there is a language of care and compassion. There is someone in his class who can speak for him and take a stand. It’s a heart-warming story for many young children who feel their voice is lost due to language barriers. This story also encourages young children to stand up against bullying.
